Kamaso Solar Irrigation Workshops

  • Location: Kamaso, Sierra Leone
  • Date Started: May 2011
  • Date Completed: May 2011
  • Direct Beneficiaries: 8

From the 9th to the 13th of May 2011, Jalloh trained eight staff of the Kamaso agricultural project in basic installation, maintenance and operation of the solar system. The installation was completed by the team of trainees with Jalloh as the lead technician to guide them through the process.

During the days, the team worked on the practical installation with theory classes in the outdoor classroom in the evenings. Jalloh prepared easy to understand hand-outs covering components of the system, safety, maintenance and other topics.

The trainees were happy with the outcome of their work and learnt some valuable skills along the way. In this way EFO hopes that any basic maintenance of the system will be handled by the on site staff.
