Interns from Princeton University

Interns from Princeton University

During the past two months, Preston Kemeny and I, Nicole Schiavone, have been working as interns for EFO in Sierra Leone. We are both rising juniors at Princeton University and applied for the position through the Princeton’s International Internship Program. For the first several weeks of our internship, Preston and I visited numerous CCSs and all nine of the SolaWata sites. Our focus on these trips was monitoring and evaluation as we traveled ...

Bo Government Hospital

Bo Government Hospital

The team returned from a whirlwind four day installation in Bo Government Hospital. As is often the case the building wiring left something to be desired so a full upgrade was finished prior to the installation of the solar equipment. New cables, boxes and LED lighting were installed in four wards...already having an impact on the quality of care available to the patients. The solar equipement is expected to arrive in mid-May and we hope to wrap up the project before the end of that month.
